Beneath the Lion Rock 2.0: Community Forum

Date: July 16, 2025 Location: Community Centre, Shek Kip Mei, Kowloon The research team from the Department of Social Work and Social Administration at the University of Hong Kong participated in the "Beneath the Lion Rock 2.0" Time Bank Project community forum on July 16, 2025. The activity invited elderly people to share their views and needs regarding "aging in place" and vote on four key areas: health management, community resources, neighborhood mutual assistance, and outdoor spaces and architecture. These opinions became the blueprint for the "Beneath the Lion Rock 2.0" Time Bank Project. The event also invited service users, members of the executive committee of "Sham Sum Fook" Time Bank Project, and staff to further discuss how to make good use of the advantages of Time Bank and the Community Social Organization to promote mutual assistance, empowerment and inclusion among the elderly.
