Pre-Planning Life Plan Press conference

Date: March 29, 2025 (Saturday) Time: 10:00 - 1:00 Location: M+14/F, West Kowloon Cultural District, 38 Museum Road, West Kowloon The research team from the Department of Social Work and Social Administration of the University of Hong Kong presented its research outputs at the "Pre-Planning Life Plan" pilot project sharing session on March 29, 2025. Based on a comprehensive community care plan, this plan aims to help individuals plan and prepare for their later years early, from aging in the community to peaceful retirement, achieving a "good life and a good death." The pilot survey showed a significant increase in participants' awareness of pre-planned care and their willingness to discuss end-of-life arrangements with their families. This allows families to prepare for their end-of-life care needs and medical considerations earlier and more comprehensively, reducing unnecessary hospitalizations and treatments and thus effectively alleviating the pressure on the public healthcare system.
