Dr. Lu Shiyu, Assistant Professor of the Department of Social Work and Social Administration at the University of Hong Kong, participated the 4th Time Banking Seminar on September 14, 2024 . Her presentation titled "The Sustainable Development of Time Banking in Hong Kong: Lessons from International Experiences," . explored the development potential of time banking and its impact on society. The seminar included in-person and online panel discussions on topics such as "From Community Economy to Community Mutual Aid – Finding Opportunities Amidst Challenges," "How Time Banking Responds to the Needs of the Elderly – Learning Together, Living Together, Sharing Together, and Gathering Together," and "Elderly Participation and Mobilization at Different Stages of Development."

 

These discussions facilitated the sharing of practical experience among participants and provided new ideas for promoting the sustainable development of Time Banking in Hong Kong and for future multi-sectoral cooperation.
